REGISTERED MASSAGE THERAPY
Registered Massage Therapist's (RMT's) in British Columbia are health care professionals committed to restoring and maintaining optimal health and pain-free function of the body. Jennifer Moss has been a Registered Massage Therapist in BC since 1996.
Jennifer Moss is educated and trained to accurately assess and treat with techniques that include massage and manual therapy (myofascial release, trigger point therapy, joint mobilization, hydrotherapy, and rehabilitative exercise. Jennifer also offers pregnancy massage and uses a body support pillow that allows her patient's to comfortably lie prone.
"I liken my treatment style to a conversation, it is a conversation between my patient's body (muscles, nervous system, mind) and what I feel under my hands. I do not 'hammer out' tight muscles, I allow a conversation to happen whereby my approach (depth, pressure, technique) allows the body a path to release tension, trigger points and pain when it is ready."
Massage therapy is an excellent treatment for acute and chronic pain conditions, stress management and musculoskeletal injuries. Jennifer has had extensive clinical experience with conditions such as:
- Lower back pain
- Sports injuries
- Tendonitis ("tennis elbow")
- Adhesive capsulitis ("frozen shoulder')
- Nerve impingement (cervical, lumbar)
- Dequervain's tenosynovitis
Massage therapy is a wonderful addition to a health care maintenance plan. Scheduling a massage therapy treatment every 2-4 weeks is an excellent way to keep your body pain free, with optimal mobility and function, so that you can enjoy your life to the fullest.
